Ada E. Miller, 77, of Shipshewana went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family at 6:40 pm on Sunday, January 26, at her residence. She was born on July 23, 1942 in LaGrange to Ezra and Anna (Bontrager) Yoder. On October 22, 1959 in Shipshewana she married Nelson Miller, he died December 24, 2012.
Surviving are five daughters, Dorothy (Denis) Graber of Leo, Doris (Marlin) Graber of Grabill, Betty (Tim) Frank of Goshen, Katy (Mervin) Miller of Goshen, Anna (Gary) Bontrager of Vandalia, MI; two sons, Nelson, Jr. (Rachel) Miller of Middlebury, Ezra Jay (Ellen) Miller of Elkhart; 36 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, LeAnna (John) Schrock of Middlebury, Katie Humble of Middlebury; two brothers, Pete Yoder of Goshen and Christie (Marlene) Yoder of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Magdalena Miller, grandson, Timothy Bontrager, step granddaughter, Jamie Frank, two brothers, Daniel and Elmer Yoder, two sisters and brothers-in-law , Mary (Sylvanus) Miller and Lizzie Mae (LaVern) Bontrager; sister-in-law, Katie Yoder, a brother-in-law, Thomas Humble.
Ada was a member of Fairhaven Mennonite Church and had worked in home healthcare assisting the elderly. She loved to host people into her home and enjoyed cooking for her guests. She was very faithful in attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4 Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 30, also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Fairhaven Ministry Team. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to Fairhaven Mennonite
Church.

June 7, 1925 - October 28, 2020
Ada Miller, 95, of Shipshewana, died at 11:55 am, on Wednesday, October 28 at her residence. She was born on June 7, 1925, in LaGrange County, to Daniel and Polly (Schrock) Eash. On November 22, 1945 in LaGrange County, she married O. Vernon Miller; he died January 7, 1993.
Surviving are three daughters, Esther (Willy) Christner, Eileen (Christy) Petersheim both of Shipshewana, Elsie (Gerald) Troyer of LaGrange; four sons, Calvin (Marilyn) Miller of LaGrange, David (Anna) Miller of Vevay, IN, LeRoy (Lorna) Miller of Elkhart, Ernest (Sharon) Miller of Ligonier; 17 grandchildren, 80 great- grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren, two step great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elma Gingerich of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Mahlon, Freeman, Perry, and Elmer Eash; five sisters, Lizzie Eash, Mabel Graber, Anna Eash, Edna Schrock, Katie Eash.
Ada was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Friday, October 30 and all day Saturday, October 31 at the Lester Mullett residence, 2745 N. 735 W., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, November 1 also at the Lester Mullett residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Joe Hochstetler and the home ministers. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Miller, Albert C.
September 25, 1941 - June 10, 2020
Albert C. Miller, age 78, of Nappanee, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, from head trauma received from a bicycle accident. He was born September 25, 1941 in Mayes County, OK, to Crist M. and Clara B. (Troyer) Miller. On November 15, 1962 he married Fannie L. Kuhns in Marshall County. He has lived in the Nappanee area since 1962. Albert was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie L. Miller, Nappanee; children, Nelson A. (Katie) Miller, Dundee, OH, Christie A. (Mary) Miller, Belleville, AR, Erma A. Miller, Nappanee, Lester A. (Edith) Miller, Vinita, OK, Arlene A. Private family services officiated by Bishop John Troyer and the Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church are being held. Burial will be in Borkholder Cemetery. In accordance with the State of Indiana Back on Track plan, everyone is encouraged to follow social distancing protocols.

Alva R. Miller, 80, of Shipshewana, died at 3:15 pm on Sunday, April 5, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born on March 26, 1940 in Goshen, to Levi and Ella (Troyer) Miller. On October 12, 1961 in LaGrange County, he married Edna Ellen Yoder; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are three sons, Wayne Ray (Karen) Miller of Lebanon, MO, Marvin Jay (Katie) Miller of Townville, PA, Kenneth Lee (Joanna) Miller of Crofton, KY; two daughters, Ruthie Elaine (Ray) Lapp, Esther Ilene (Norman) Christner both of Shipshewana; 27 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Levi Jr. Miller of CO, Orva Lee Miller of LaGrange; two sisters, Ruby Stutzman of Nappanee, Mary Mast of MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon (Treva) Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma (Felty) Mast; two brothers-in-law, Floyd Stutzman, Ervin Mast; grandson, Matthew Miller.
Alva was a lifelong farmer and farrier. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Due to current national health concerns, the family will be holding private visitation and funeral services. Services will be conducted by Bishop Marvin Bontrager and home ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Alvin N. Miller, 77, of Millersburg, passed away at 9:56 am on Saturday, June 13, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort
Wayne, after a brief illness. He was born on May 25, 1943 in LaGrange to Nathaniel E. and Mary Ann (Beechy) Miller. On May 16, 1963 in LaGrange County he married Alice L. Bontrager, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four sons, David Wayne (Sara) Miller of Chariton, IA, Melvin Eugene Miller of Shipshewana, Marion (Kathy) Miller of Middlebury, Norman (Kristina) Miller of Shipshewana; four daughters, Dorene Kay (Melvin, Jr.) Mullett of Millersburg, Mary Elizabeth (Laverne) Miller of Topeka, Wilma (Devon) Miller of Millersburg, Ellen (Jr.) Keim of Topeka; 46 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Lydia (John) Yoder of Sarasota, FL., Anna (Leander) Keim of Sturgis, MI, Barbara Miller of Topeka, Irma (John) Lambright of Arcadia, FL, Marietta Miller of Topeka, Ida Miller of Topeka; three brothers, Edwin (Edna) Miller of Noblesville, Lloyd (Edna) Miller of Topeka, Aaron (Ruth) Miller of Ligonier; two sisters-in-law, Cora Sue Miller of Millersburg and Katie (John) Hochstetler of LaGrange; lifelong friend Mel (Irene) Mullet of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Miller; two grandsons and one great grandson; three brothers, Ora, Mahlon and LeRoy N. Miller; two sisters, Wilma and Kathryn Miller.
Alvin was a farmer and had worked in area factories; most recently he was doing woodworking out of his home. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Sunday June 14, all day Monday, June 15, at the family's residence, 5125 S. 1050 W., Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 16, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
Miller, Anna E. Witmer, 96, of Stuarts Draft, VA died March 10, 2020 at the same place. She was born July 8, 1923 to Arthur G. and Katie H. Witmer. On October 7, 1944 she was married to John H. Miller, who was born June 15, 1923 and died September 18, 2017.
Surviving are children, David Miller; John (Mary Lynn) Miller; Daniel (Tricia) Miller; Rhoda Miller; Martha (Dale) Swartzendruber; Paul (Kimberly) Miller; and Timothy (Lisa) Miller; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
A son, Mark Miller; a daughter-in-law; a grandchild; and siblings, Ruth Garman, Lois Witmer, and Donald Witmer preceded her in death.

Anna Elizabeth Miller, 96, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at The Meadows of Stuarts Draft Retirement Community in Stuarts Draft, VA.
She was born on July 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Arthur G. and Katie H. Witmer of Lancaster, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John H. Miller on September 18, 2017; a son: Mark; a daughter-in-law; a grandson; two great-grandsons; two sisters: Ruth Garman and Lois Witmer; and a brother: Donald Witmer.
Survivors include seven children: David of Lovingston, VA, John and wife, Mary Lynn of Massillon, OH, Daniel and wife, Tricia of Waxhaw, NC, Rhoda of Charlottesville, VA, Martha and husband, Dale Swartzentruber of Schuyler, VA, Paul and wife, Kimberly of Staunton, VA, and Timothy and wife, Lisa of Schuyler VA; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ethel Swartzendruber of IA and Dorothy Hess of OH; a brother: Clyde Witmer of PA; and sister-in-law: Naomi Witmer of PA.
Anna was a faithful pastor’s wife and a caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed family as well as gardening, playing games, singing, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff at The Meadows of Stuarts Draft Retirement Community and to Hospice Care.

Anna Grace Miller, infant daughter of Dean and Esther (Miller) Miller of Shipshewana, was stillborn at 5:20 pm on Saturday, September 5 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
Survivors in addition to her parents of Shipshewana are brother, Steven Miller; three sisters, Lisa Miller (special friend, Brendan Miller), Waneta Miller, Julia Miller all at home; grandparents, Chris B. and Lorene (Hochstetler) Miller of Shipshewana, John R. and Waneta (Barkman) Miller of Topeka.
The family will hold a private graveside service on Monday, September 7. Services will be conducted by Bishop Lyle Yoder of the Old Order Amish Church. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ernest J. Miller, 81, of LaGrange died at 10:45 am on Sunday, November 29, at his residence. He was born September 23, 1939 in Lagrange County to Jacob N. and Anna L. (Miller) Miller.
On March 3, 1960 he married Anna Mae (Hochstetler) Miller, 80 of LaGrange; she died at 11:45 am also on Sunday, November 29, at her residence. Anna was born in Lagrange County on September 10, 1942 to Tobias M. and Martha N. (Troyer) Hochstetler. They peacefully passed away an hour apart.
They are survived by two sons, Lavern Jay (Rosemary) Miller and Richard Lee (Helen) Miller both of Lagrange; a daughter-in-law, LeEtta (Dave) Wingard of Shipshewana; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ernest additionally leaves to mourn two brothers, Crist J. (Edna) Miller of Goshen and Vernon (Erma) Miller of Topeka; a sister, Katie (Alton) Bontrager of Topeka; a brother-in-law, Ervin (Mary) Miller of LaGrange. Anna additionally leaves to mourn a sister, Alice (Perry) Miller of Wisconsin and a sister-in-law, Sally Hochstetler.
They were preceded in death by a son, Duane Miller; Ernest's sister, Elizabeth Miller; Anna's brothers Arthur Jay, Omer Ray, Leroy, Daniel and Melvin Hochstetler and her sisters, Suzanne "Suzy" Wickey, Elizabeth Miller and Alma Yoder.
They were both members of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Monday, November 30, at the family's residence, 1640 W. 300 S., LaGrange. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 2, at the Mervin O. Miller residence, 1735 W. 300 S., LaGrange. Services will be conducted by Bishop Eli P. Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
Miller, Arlene L. Landes, 82, of Perkasie, PA died March 30, 2020 at West Rockhill, PA. She was born July 2, 1937. On April 15, 1961 she was married to Paul K. Miller, who was born October 10, 1937 and died May 20, 2018.
Surviving are children, Brenda S. Krupp (Miller) and Brian D. Miller, two grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Services and interment will be announced at a later date at Deep Run East Mennonite Church, Perkasie, PA with burial in Deep Run Mennonite Church East.

Arlene L. Miller, of Perkasie, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 30, 2020, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA. She was 82.
She was the wife of 57 years of the late Paul K. Miller until his passing on May 20, 2018.
Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Alma (Frederick) Landes. A 1954 graduate of Franconia Mennonite School, Franconia, PA, she also was a graduate of the Lansdale School of Business, Lansdale, PA.
Arlene worked for Trinity Lutheran Day Care, Perkasie, PA, taking care of the infants for 28 years until retiring in 2006. Previously, she worked as a bookkeeper at Kellers Creamery, Harleysville, PA.
She was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East, Perkasie, PA.
Faithful in reading her Bible, Arlene volunteered for the Mennonite Central Committee Book Store, Souderton, PA, every Wednesday for many years. An avid baker and gardener, she especially enjoyed canning and freezing vegetables as well as making homemade applesauce.
She is survived by two children, Brenda S. Krupp and her companion Scott Hadlock, of Fort Collins, CO, and Brian D. Miller, of Perkasie, PA; two grandchildren, Micah C. and Josiah K.; and a brother, Marvin Landes and his wife Linda, of Ambler, PA. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth R. Miller in October of 2016.
Services and interment will be announced at a later date.

Betty J. Miller, 82, of Goshen died at 10:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1937 in Hutchinson, KS, to Joe S.K. and Katie (Yoder) Bontrager. On May 23, 1957 in Middlebury she married Orla D.
Miller; he died December 6, 2011.
Surviving are three sons, Dewayne (Alma) Miller of Goshen, Devon (Nettie) Miller of Shipshewana, Richard (Marilyn) Miller of Shipshewana; two daughters, Kaylene (Elmer) Petersheim of Shipshewana, Ruth Ann (Daniel) Fry of Topeka; 28 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara (Floyd) Borkholder of Nappanee, Susan (Freeman) Lambright of Middlebury; sister-in-law, Ida Bontrager of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Anna Mae Lambright; and two brothers, Herman Bontrager and Chris Bontrager.
Betty was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

June 7, 1947 - July 3, 2020
Cheryl A. Miller, 73, of Middlebury, passed away at 3:37 pm, on Friday, July 3, at Goshen Health Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born on June 7, 1947, in Sturgis, MI, to Raphael and Nora (Frey) Yoder. On October 17, 1992 in Goshen she married Moe Miller, he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Sheldon (Kristie) Kresse of Elkhart; daughter, Michelle (Kurt) Walker of Wolcottville; two stepsons, Bruce (Anita) Miller of Fort Wayne, Brent (Monica) Miller of Middlebury; stepdaughter, Carla (Tim) Thomas of Goshen; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Fred Yoder, Gordon Yoder and Maurice Yoder all of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl had worked at Sealed Power, LaGrange for 27 years in the Administration and Human Resources Departments; she had then worked 12 years with Everence Financial, Goshen before her retirement. She was a member of Clinton Frame Church, Goshen where she was part of the Share and Care Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Hoosier Model A Ford Club. She enjoyed traveling and had wintered with her husband in Florida for several years. She was a very community minded lady who volunteered for different organizations, including Meals on Wheels in Lagrange County and The Window in Goshen. She was known as a talented craft maker and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and often supported their schools and attended all of their events. She had continuously educated herself with technology so she could be in touch with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday July 9, at Clinton Frame Church, 63846 CR 35 Goshen. There will also be visitation from 9:00 to 9:45 am on Friday prior to the 10:00 am funeral service also at the church. Chester Miller, 86, of Riverside, Iowa, died Monday, May 25, 2020 following an eight-month battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 9:30 AM at the Merlyn Miller residence, 1104 Palm Avenue, Riverside with Minister Clayton Borntrager officiating. Burial will follow at the South Gingerich Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, May 25 from 3 – 8 PM and Tuesday from 1 – 7 PM at 1104 Palm Avenue, Riverside. Guidelines for social distancing set forth by the state will be enforced at the visitation.
Chester H Miller was born December 18, 1933 in Kalona, Iowa, the son of Henry B. and Edna (Miller) Miller. He accepted Christ as his Savior in his youth and was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church. He was united in marriage to Mary Ropp on January 12, 1956.
Chester is survived by his wife Mary and three sons and six daughters: LullaBelle at home, Henry (Ila) Miller, Charles (Ellen) Miller of Kalona, Marilyn (Glen) Miller of Reed City, Michigan, Merlyn (Myrna) Miller of Riverside, Gladys (Loren) Borntrager, Wanda (John Dale) Gingerich of Kalona, Joyce (Solomon) Hershberger of Riverside, Shirley Miller of Kalona, 39 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law Edna Miller, three brothers: Norman H (Alma), Morris H and Vernon H (Nina), one sister Mary Pearl (Fred) Mast all of Kalona.
Preceding Chester in death were his parents, one brother Emery, two sisters-in-law: Mary Jane and Freda Miller and two great-grandchildren.

Chester A. Miller, 83, of Millersburg, died at 7:04 am on Thursday, February 13, at Goshen Health Hospital. He was born on September 5, 1936 in Goshen to Andrew and Susie (Hochstetler) Miller. On January 1, 1959 in Goshen he married Treva Bontrager, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Gerald (Mary Ruth) Miller and Galen (Wilma) Miller all of Millersburg; two daughters, Grace (Wayne) Miller and Glenda (LaVern) Yoder all of Goshen; 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; a brother, Emanuel (Esther) Miller of Bolivar, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Ellen Miller and a brother, Vernon Miller.
Chester was a retired farmer and had worked at Jayco in Middlebury for many years. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and he was ordained as a minister in 1974.
Visitation will be after 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, and all day Friday, February 14, at the family's residence, 11960 County Road 38 Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 15, also at the family’s residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Marlin Hochstetler and the home ministers. Clara Mae Miller, 72, of Goshen, died unexpectedly at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8 at her residence. She was born on October 1, 1947 in Bremen, to Levi and Ida (Mast) Helmuth. On October 10, 1968 in Elkhart County, she married Roman E. Miller; he survives.

PENN LAIRD -- David E. “Dave” Miller, 71, a resident of Penn Laird, formerly of Lakewood, Colo., passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at his home. Mr. Miller was born June 23, 1948, in Lancaster, Pa., and was a son of the late Daniel Edwin and Sarah Ellen (Bender) Miller.
David retired after many years as a welder. He also worked as a sales associate for Macy’s for 20 years. Mr. Miller was a member of the Rocky Mountain Tool Collectors Club. He was awarded a lifetime membership and served as a two-time president. He was also a member of the Midwest Tool Collectors Club, where he currently was serving as a regional director. Dave enjoyed traveling, hunting big game, fishing, and collecting antique tools. He also loved helping on the Shank family farm, where he fabricated parts to improve the tractors and equipment. He attended Harrisonburg First Church of the Nazarene.
On Sept. 6, 1969, he married the former Fern Shank, who survives.
Also surviving are his siblings, Elaine Thomas and husband, Ken, of Goshen, Ind., Daniel Miller Jr. and wife, Linda, of Lancaster, Pa., James E. Miller and wife, Marge, of Seymour, Ind., Mary Hasselstrom and husband, Nick, of Clarkston, Wash., Jason E. Miller and wife, Lynn, of Harveys Lake, Pa., Lois Zook and husband, Randy, of Lancaster, Pa.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arneda Shank Steiner and husband, Glenn, of Dalton, Ohio, Joseph G. Shank II and wife, Linda Sue, of Broadway, Evelyn Shank Mast and husband, Harlan, of Penn Laird, Nelson L. Shank and wife, Barbara, of Stuarts Draft, Charles S. Shank and wife, Amei, of Broadway; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a niece, Kimberly Thomas.
Pastors Roger Dove and Jim Harrison will conduct a private graveside service.
The casket will be closed, however, friends may sign the register book at McMullen Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Edna H. Miller, 87, of Topeka, died at 4:20 am on Monday, March 23, at her residence. She was born on December 3, 1932 in LaGrange County to Henry and Lydia (Troyer) Frye. On December 10, 1953 in LaGrange County she married Freeman S. Miller; he died October 4, 2011.
Surviving are six daughters, Esther (LaVern) Lambright of Topeka, Dora (Norm) Burkholder of Bourbon, Vera (Melvin) Hostetler of Nappanee, Freda (Delmar) Miller of Millersburg, Ruth (Vernon) Yoder of Shipshewana, Betty (David) Weaver of LaGrange; three sons, Glen (Ida) Miller of Goshen, Merle (Marilyn) Miller of Goshen, Calvin (Edna) Miller of Millersburg; 47 grandchildren; 123 great-grandchildren; brother, Noah (Mary) Frye of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three grandchildren; four sisters, Susan Yoder, Katy Yoder, infant Lavina Frye, Ella Wingard; four brothers, Joas, Elvie, Sam and Calvin Frye.
Edna was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Due to current national health concerns the immediate family will be holding private visitation and funeral services. Edna (Kuhns) Miller, age 82, of 7800 N 800 W, Nappanee, IN died at 8pm Friday, May 29, 2020 at Bremen Hospital of natural causes. She was born January 28, 1938 in Kosciusko County to Levi J. and Elizabeth (Hershberger) Kuhns and lived her whole life in the Nappanee area. On March 20, 1958, she married Edward E. Miller. He preceded her in death November 17, 2013. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a homemaker.

Edna W. Miller, 81, of LaGrange, died at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 9 at her residence. She was born on May 17, 1939 in Middlebury, to William D. and Elizabeth J. (Bontrager) Yoder. On January 18, 1962 in Middlebury, she married Henry N. Miller; he survives.

Edna Miller, 94, of Centreville, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Thurston Woods Care Center, Sturgis, Michigan.
Edna was born November 7, 1925, to Levi C. and Fanny (Beechy) Yoder. On February 21, 1948, she married Ezra J. (Hez) Miller. They spent all their married life living in the Burr Oak, White Pigeon, and Sturgis, Michigan, communities. Several winters were spent in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
Ezra and Edna had a heart for people and were involved in many caregiving roles. They were charter members of Riverview Mennonite Church, White Pigeon; helped establish Lakeview, a group home for troubled adolescents; hosted many boarders in their home; and later turned their own home into an elder-care group home. Edna was a wonderful cook and hostess and was a faithful companion working alongside her husband in many church functions and family events. She had an upholstery business and enjoyed working in her flower beds.
After Ezra's passing, Edna became a Home Health Aide serving the elderly in their homes. Twice she traveled to Russia with Operation Carelift, a Josh McDowell ministry. In spite of dealing with arthritis for many years, Edna made and sold beautiful quilts and dolls and enjoyed painting landscape scenes. She valued good books and delighted in reading to her grandchildren. Edna was a member of Moorepark Community Church, Three Rivers, Michigan, for 20 years.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Ezra in 1992 and two sons, William Eugene (Bill), 1968, and Kenneth Wayne (Ken), 2016; five brothers: Alvin Yoder, Lagrange, Indiana; Perry Yoder, White Pigeon, Michigan; Aaron, Levi, and Will Yoder, all of Shipshewana, Indiana; and four sisters: Martha (Jerome) Troyer, Goshen, Indiana; Irma (Howard) Troyer and Barbara (Alvin) Mullet of Shipshewana, Indiana; and Mary (Mose) Gingerich of Goshen, Indiana.
Survivors include two sons, Maynard (Ruby) Miller of Kalona, Iowa, and Devon (Margaret) Miller of Centreville, Michigan; one daughter-in-law, Julia Miller, Sturgis, Michigan; one stepdaughter, Edna (Lloyd) Brugger, Weyers Cave, Virginia; 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. The family is grateful for your prayers during this difficult time. A private graveside service will be held for the family at White Pigeon Township Cemetery, and a public memorial service will be held at a later date. Edna and Ezra had a deep interest in the work of Living Hope Native Ministries of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Memorials for Edna can be directed to Living Hope Ministries’ Indigenous Leaders Fund, which supports the work of First Nations leaders in Northwestern Ontario. Eli Miller, 85, passed away Wednesday morning of February 5th at home. He was born September 23, 1934 to Jake and Polly (Helmuth) Miller in Arthur, Illinois.
On August 8, 1971 he married Mary Sue Yoder of Garden City, Missouri in Goshen, Indiana.
Surviving him are his wife, Mary Sue; a son, K. Erich (Kristine Sensenig) Miller of Goshen; a daughter, Danielle Miller (Hugo Saucedo), and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Isla Miller Saucedo of San Antonio; two sisters, Mary Miller (Lisa Dimondstein), and Alma Bontrager; four brothers, Chris (Lola), Orie, Emery (Mary Alice), and Paul (Sherry); one sister-in-law Helen Miller; and one brother-in-law Floyd Hershberger.
Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Barbara Hershberger; brothers, Henry, Daniel and John; and sisters-in-law, Anna and Mildred.
Eli spent his early years in Arthur, IL, and in 1948, at the age of 13, he moved to the Goshen area. In 1957, he completed high school while in 1-W service at Iowa Mennonite High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Iowa in 1961 and received an M.A. in German from Indiana University in 1968. He spent four months of intensive language study in Germany at the Goethe Institute.
Eli began his teaching career in a one-room school in Wayland, Iowa in 1959 while still in college. After moving back to Indiana in 1961, he was hired to teach 4th grade at Union Center School where he served for 5 years. Upon receiving his Master’s degree, he accepted a position in the newly formed Fairfield school district where he taught English and German, spending the ‘71-‘72 school year in Kollnau, Germany with the Fulbright teacher exchange program. He retired from teaching in 1996.
Eli loved plants of all kinds and spent more than 40 years landscaping and doing landscape maintenance, first at Keim’s nursery and later independently during the summer months.
His love of nature extended beyond summer work: raising a small herd of beef cattle and chickens for friends and family, transplanting wild white trillium into the small woods that lined his property, waking his children to view a meteor shower, watching the birds at the feeders he put out every winter, and nurturing the land to produce a large variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Eli also had a deeply creative side - dabbling in drawing and design, and gleaning from his abundant flower beds to produce beautiful arrangements. While he drew much of his inspiration from the natural word, his creativity, on occasion, extended into the realm of food. He is lovingly known by his family as the inventor of the zucchini bread ice cream sandwich.
Eli’s life reflected a deep interest in other people and cultures. He took the time to talk and listen to individuals from all over the world. Together his family hosted 7 exchange students from Brazil, Germany, France and Japan. He believed in the transformative power of international travel and led multiple groups of high school students to Germany, as well as traveling much of the world himself.
Eli served as church treasurer and secretary, a mentor for youth, and Sunday School teacher at Holdeman Mennonite Church where he was a member for 46 years. He was diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s Disease in 2007 and was active in the local Parkinson’s support community.
Throughout his life, Eli’s investment in his 10 siblings and their families remained a constant. Welcoming the children of multiple generations onto the farm, supporting their endeavors and offering a curious and listening ear has left an imprint on many lives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Holdeman Mennonite Church (65723 C.R. 1, Wakarusa, IN). The memorial service will take place on Sunday, February 16th at 3:00 p.m., also at Holdeman. Eli chose to donate his body to medical research, and his ashes will be interred at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Elkhart County Clubhouse (114 S. 5th St. Goshen, IN 46528).

Eli W. Miller, age 86 of Bremen, died unexpectedly at 2:45 pm, Monday, October 26, 2020 at his home, 2 hours and 15 minutes after the death of his wife. He was born January 29, 1934 in Reno County, Kansas to William A. and Mary (Schrock) Miller. On September 22, 1955, he married Katie W. Yoder in Garnett, Kansas. The Miller’s moved to this area in 1996 from Kansas.
Mr. Miller was a retired farmer and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Ellene Miller, 96, of Redbud Court, Goshen IN died September 6, 2020.
She was born April 1, 1924 in Sterling, IL to Ezra and Lydia Denlinger Long.
She met Robert (Bob) Miller at Goshen College and married in 1944. They were blessed with 68 years of marriage before Bob’s death in 2013.
Ellene is survived by sons Stephen (Becky Iden), Elkhart, Bruce (Sue Grubb), Goshen, and daughter Beth Miller Kraybill (Ken), Seattle WA. She has five grandchildren – Megan Miller (Chris Cummings), Madison, WI; Sarah Kraybill Burkhalter (Andrew), Seattle, WA; Jacob Kraybill, Seattle, WA; Kyan Grubb Miller, Jordy Grubb Miller; also four great- grandchildren – Kalea and Makai Cummings, Aven and West Burkhalter, as well as one brother, E. Dean Long (Mary) of Rapid City, SD and brother-in-law Hilary Bertsche, Goshen.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers Kenneth and Elwyn Long, two sisters Alverda Guengerich and Gladys Bertsche.
A longtime member of Hively Avenue Mennonite Church, she was involved in education, youth work and hosting students from many cultures. In early adulthood she was employed by the Superintendent of Schools in Sterling, and in midlife by the Director of Teacher Education at Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN.
Her deepest commitment and identity was as an activist in peace and justice issues, working with family and community leaders locally and in the wider world.
Ellene’s life was full, with the special gift of a loving family and many friends. She anticipates the journey ahead “until we meet again.”
A private graveside service was held at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Interment was facilitated by Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. A virtual memorial service will be held at a later date.

Elmer C. Miller, 88, of LaGrange, died at 11:50 am on Monday, June 1 at his residence. He was born on June 2, 1931 in LaGrange County to Clarence A. and Polly (Yoder) Miller. On March 5, 1953 in Shipshewana, he married Ida J. Yoder; she died December 25, 1989. On May 26, 1991 in Shipshewana, he married Katie Mae (Eash) Miller; she survives.

Elva Jay Miller, age 78, of Ligonier, IN died at 10:41 pm on June 18, 2020 at Goshen Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1942 to Eli and Anna (Fry) Miller. ON June 22, 1994 in Elkhart, IN he married Martha Otto; she survives.

Ervin D. Miller, 78 of Arthur, Illinois passed away at 6:40 P.M. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Raymond D. Kaufman residence, 555 North CR 240 East, Arthur, Illinois. Bishop Larry Helmuth will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, Illinois. Visitation will be held any time after 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Raymond D. Kaufman residence. The Edwards Funeral home is assisting with arrangements.
Ervin was born on August 6, 1942 in Arthur, Illinois. He was a son of Daniel A. and Magdalena M. (Schrock) Miller. He married Susan J. Yoder on April 15, 1971 in Lovington, Illinois. She passed away on May 14, 2019.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Marcus Miller, Merle Duane Miller and his wife Laura and Darrell Lee Miller and his wife Rosemary; two daughters, Marnita Kay Miller and her husband Harold Dean and Amanda Sue Gingerich and her husband Philip all of Arthur, IL; 20 grandchildren; seven siblings, Anna Miller of Arthur, IL, Menno Miller and his wife Lorene (Plank) of Arcola, IL, Verna Schlabach and her husband Daniel of Atwood, IL, Elmer Miller of Lovington, IL, Willis Miller and his wife Katie (Schrock), Omer Miller and his wife Nancy (Yoder), and Merle Miller and his wife Jane (Reece), all of Arthur, IL and one sister-in-law, Mary (Yoder) Miller of Sullivan, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Richard Alan Miller, one daughter, Carol Ann Miller, one grandson, Kevin Dean Miller, one brother, Amzy Miller, and one sister-in-law, Katie Marie (Yoder) Miller.
Ervin was a member and a retired Bishop of the Old Order Amish Church.

Ervin M. Miller, 82, of Topeka died at 11:30 pm on Saturday, December 5, at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1938 in LaGrange County to Menno and Ida (Yoder) Miller. On October 23, 1958 he married Rosa A. Miller; she died February 7, 2013.
Surviving are five daughters, Martha (Vernon Jay) Miller of Topeka, Loranna (Marvin) Kauffman of Middlebury, Susan (Larry) Hostetler of Topeka, Alice (Sam) Lambright of Millersburg, Wilma (Dean) Miller of Ligonier; five sons, Calvin (Susan) Miller of Topeka, Floyd (Ruth) Miller of Millersburg, Chris (Carol) Miller of Middlebury, Marvin (Mary) Miller of Topeka, Richard (Ruth) Miller of Topeka; 59 grandchildren; 97 great grandchildren; sister, Elsie (Melvin) Yoder of LaGrange; brother-in-law, Wilbur C. Miller of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Katie Miller; a granddaughter; three great grandchildren; sister, Mattie Miller.
Ervin was a retired farmer and was ordained as a minister in 1966 and then as the Bishop in 1995 in the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Monday, December 7, and all day Tuesday, December 8, at the Vernon Jay Miller residence, 6795 W. 400 S., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 9, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Mervin Hershberger in the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.
Miller, Fannie E. Bontrager
July 20, 1920 - November 20, 2020
Fannie E. Miller, 100, of Elkhart, formerly of Middlebury, died Friday morning, November 20, 2020 at East Lake Terrace in Elkhart.
Fannie was born July 20, 1920 in Kansas to the late Enos and Lydia (Miller) Bontrager.
As Fannie Bontrager, she married Jonas E. Miller in 1938 and he died in 1971. She then married Perry Miller in 1974 and he died in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son, Delbert Miller, a son and daughter-in-law Nelson and Karen Miller; a brother, Wayne Bontrager; a sister, Elizabeth Yoder; two step-daughters: Judy Hogendobler and Kathy Clark and a granddaughter, Heather Miller. Her sister and her roommate at East Lake Terrace, Rosa Stone, died Sunday, November 22, 2020.
Surviving are a daughter, Verba (Pete) DeMauro and a son, Vern (Judy) Miller, both of Elkhart; a step-daughter, Virginia (Keith) Yoder of Osceola; a brother, Leroy (Joyce) Bontrager and a sister-in-law, Donna Bontrager of Goshen. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Fannie was a longtime employee of Smucker’s Drug Store in Middlebury where everybody knew her name. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making quilts. As a resident of Brentwood in Elkhart, she taught Sunday school and bible classes to her fellow neighbors. She was also a former member of the Middlebury Mennonite Church.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Middlebury. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Fannie L. Miller, age 82, of Nappanee, died at 4:05 am, Monday, August 10, 2020 at her residence. She had been in ill health since July. She was born August 6, 1938 in Marshall County to Levi M. and Edna J. (Yoder) Kuhns. On November 15, 1962, she married Albert C. Miller in Marshall County. He preceded in death June 10, 2020.
Mrs. Miller lived her lifetime in this area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her children, Nelson A. (Katie) Miller, Dundee, OH, Cristie A. (Mary) Miller, Belleville, AR, Erma A. Miller, Nappanee, Lester A. (Edith) Miller, Vinita, OK, Arlene A. Miller, Nappanee; daughter-in-law, Ruby Miller, Millersburg; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Menno (Lizzie) Kuhns, Drakesville, IA, sisters, Carrie (Andrew) Hochstetler, Lagrange, Lizzie (Vernon) Bontrager, Mio, MI; sisters-in-law, Lydianne Kuhns, Lydia Kuhns, both of Nappanee, Polly Kuhns, Dunnegan, MO; and brother-in-law, Henry Mast, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by sons; Lamar A. and Samuel A. Miller; brothers, Ivan, Jonas, Edwin, Omar, Lester, Manasses Kuhns; and sister, Wilma Mast.

Miller, Fern L. Nissley
November 3, 1932 - November 14, 2020
Fern L. Miller, 88, formerly of Elizabethtown, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Mennonite Home in Lancaster. Born in Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy (Risser) Nissley. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David G. Miller.
Fern was a homemaker most of her life. She contributed significantly to the work on the family dairy and poultry farm. She was a member of Goods Mennonite Church, Bainbridge, and was a dedicated member of the sewing circle. She helped sew and knot thousands of comforters over the years, which were then donated to MCC. She continued to finish comforters even after moving to Mennonite Home, completing around 200 in the last year and a half. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter: Lois Glick (John) of New Holland; two sons: Paul Miller (Karen) of Elizabethtown and Mark Miller (Mary) of Elizabethtown; 11 grandchildren: Natasha Miller (Andrew) of Hershey; Julie Hoffer (Ren) of Lancaster; Bryan Miller (Kim) of Manheim; Jeffrey Miller of Mechanicsburg, OH, Josh Glick (Cheri) of New Holland; Sheila Glick of New Holland; Jonathan Glick of New Holland; Korina Heistand (Jon) of Elizabethtown, Darin Miller (Kelly) of Mount Joy; Bethany Rittenhouse (Jeremy) of Pittsburgh and Christina Miller of Mount Joy; 11 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Seth and Violet Miller; Jeremiah and Victoria Glick; Zoey, Nell and Sadie Heistand, and Olivia, Mason and Hudson Miller; and one brother Clair Nissley.
She was preceded in death by a brother Luke Nissley.

Gary Dale Miller, 70 years, 1 month and 27 days, of Arthur, Illinois passed away at 8:45 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2020 at his residence.

Gary was born on March 14, 1950 in Tuscola, IL. He was a son of Ben A. and Barbara S. (Otto) Miller. He married Verna Kay Mast on February 26, 1970 in Arthur, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Verna Miller of Arthur, IL, six children, Wilbur Miller and his wife Wilma of Rodney, MI, Harold Miller and his wife Marnita of Arthur, IL, Barbara Herschberger and her husband Wilbur of Arthur, IL, Duane Miller and his wife Rachel of Arcola, IL, Joseph Miller and his wife Dena of Bonduel, WI and Anita Gingerich and her husband Mervin of Arthur, IL, forty-four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his step-mother, Alma Miller of Arthur, IL, one brother, Willard Miller and his wife Katie of Arthur, IL, one sister, Rachel Miller and her husband Merle of Arthur, IL, one uncle, Eli Gingerich of Arthur, IL and one aunt, Katie Ann Schrock of Arthur, IL.

Gary J. Miller, 66, of Shipshewana, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 9:55 am on Thursday, June 4, at his residence after a two-month battle with leukemia. He was born on October 16, 1953 in LaGrange to Paul and Ruth (Lambright) Miller. On March 30, 1974 in Elkhart he married Patricia "Patti" J. Schrock, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jill (Mike) Cress of Convoy, OH; a son, Justin (Crystal) Miller of Middlebury; his five grandchildren, Kaden, Blake, Dylan, Lucas and Morgan; a sister, Gwen (Gene) Newcomer of Shipshewana; four brothers, Gordon (Nancy) Miller of Spindale, NC, Gerald (Amy) Miller of Middlebury, Glen (Sheri) Miller of Shipshewana, Gene (Jenny) Miller of Goshen and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
Gary started Wana Engine Center/Wana RV Center in 1980 in Shipshewana where he continued to work until he was unable to because of his illness. He was a member of Shore Church where he had served in many different aspects throughout his life and was involved with Bible Study Fellowship. He was a member of the Shipshewana Volunteer Fire Department for 16 years, serving as Fire Chief for 8 years. He was involved with the LaGrange County 4-H Fair for many years, serving as president for 10 years. Gary loved running, riding horses and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 7, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. The family and funeral home respectively request that attendees wear a face covering during visitation. A private funeral and graveside service will be held by the family. Services will be conducted by Pastors Carl Horner and Nic Raber. Burial will
be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to LaGrange County Habitat for Humanity and RYLM (Rainbow Years Learning Ministry).
Miller, Goldie Ethel Weaver

Goldie Ethel (Weaver) Miller, 93, of Martinsburg, formerly of Ewing, Illinois, passed away on July 8, 2020 at home. She was born on December 13, 1926 in Iowa; daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth (Grove) Weaver. On October 29, 1949 in Iowa, she was united in marriage to Melvin S. Miller. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2013.
Goldie was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and family history books. She was a member of the Yellow Springs Mennonite Church.
Surviving are son, Jay E. Miller (Joyce) of Arcadia, FL; son, Larry L. Miller (Janet) of Washington Boro., PA; son, Nevin L. Miller (Lois) of Auburn, NE; daughter, Sherene J. Weaver (Marvin) of Forest OH; daughter, Rosalie J. Weaver (Galen) of Martinsburg, PA; sister, Esther Schrock (Leroy); sister, Velma Yoder (Dean); as well as 44 grandchildren, 145 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Pennsylvania services include viewing on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 starting at 10:00AM with H. Lynn Martin officiating. All of the above will be held at the Woodbury Mennonite Church. Illinois services include viewing on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 6:00-8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 stating at 10:00AM. All of the above will be held at the Ewing Mennonite Church.

Herman E. Miller, age 73 of Bremen, died at 8:00 am, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at South Bend Memorial Hospital. He was born July 6, 1947 in Marshall County, to Emery and Fannie (Chupp) Miller.
On April 25, 1968, he married Ada Mae Miller in Marshall County. Herman and Ada moved to Central Wisconsin in 1975 and lived there until moving back to this area in 1993.
Mr. Miller was a member of Living Hope Christian Fellowship in Goshen. He had worked at Newmar Corp. for 20 years. Herman enjoyed hunting and farming and also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Ada Mae; children, DeWayne (Brenda) Miller, Etna Green, Pam (Matt) Miller, Bremen; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Marvin Miller, Bremen, Lydia (Eldon) Stutzman, Etna Green, Alma Miller, Nappanee, Earl (Edna) Miller, Bourbon; and brothers-in-law, Eli Kuhns and John Slabaugh, both of Etna Green. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Ellen Kuhns, Wilma Yoder, Edward Miller, Ray Miller, Laura Slabaugh, Erma Miller, and Emery Miller Jr.

Ida M. Miller, 91, of Shipshewana, died at 3:50 am, on Wednesday, March 18 at her residence. She was born on October 21, 1928, in LaGrange County, to Mose and Lucy (Graber) Bontrager. On October 19, 1950 in LaGrange County, she married Lester D. Miller; he died February 25, 2008.
Surviving are four sons, Samuel (LeAnna) Miller of Ethel, MO, Amos (Fannie) Miller of Howe, LeRoy Miller of Howe, Albert (Laura) Miller of East Jordan, MI; daughter, Lucy Miller of Shipshewana; 35 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Bontrager of Mio, MI; three sisters, Mary Miller of Marysville, OH, Clara (Samuel) Hochstetler of Aroda, VA, Wilma (Roy) Miller of Middlebury; brother-in-law, Levi D. Miller of Shipshewana; sister-in-law, Lillie Bontrager of LaGrange. Irene (Helmuth) Miller, age 75, of Bremen Indiana died at 9:25 PM Saturday August 1, 2020 at home. She was born June 3, 1945 in Nappanee, Indiana to Levi and Anna Helmuth. Irene accepted Christ in her youth and loved her Lord and Savior. She was a lifetime resident of Nappanee with Phoenix as her winter home. On October 25,1962 she married Mahlon A Miller.
She is survived by her husband Mahlon, and her children, Linda (Thomas) Mast, Nappanee IN; Lauranna (Alpha) Miller, Owenton, KY; Lucretia (Larry) Hochstetler, Bremen IN; Matthew (Pam) Miller, Bremen IN; Marcus (Debra) Miller, Nappanee IN; Joyce (Joel) Helmuth, Nappanee, IN. 33 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Mahlon Mark, and a granddaughter Lynell Irene Hochstetler, brothers Joe and Crist, sisters Florence Miller, Laura Yoder, and Mary Shrock.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the HCK West Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop David Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery. Visitation will be any time after 5:00 P.M. on Monday, July 20, 2020 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 21, 202 at the HCK West Building. Jacob was born on July 16, 1938 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of William G and Katie Ann (Beachey) Miller. He married Katie Ann Beachy on October 15, 1959 in Arthur, IL, they lived in matrimony for 60 years, 9 months and 5 days.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Ann Miller of Arthur, IL, four children, Dorothy Louise Helmuth and her husband Willis L. of Arthur, IL, Lester Miller and his wife Lorene Ann (Schrock) of Arcola, IL, Velma Kay Hostetler and her husband Richard of Loogootee, IN, and Mary Fern Yoder and her husband Danny Ray of Sullivan, IL, one son-in-law, Howard Yoder and his wife Marcia (Schrock) of Arthur, IL, 37 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, three brothers, Reuben Miller and his wife Fannie (Schrock) of Sarasota, FL, Harley Miller and his wife Martha Ann (Gingerich) of Arthur, IL and Elva Miller and his wife Edith Fern (Otto) of Marion, MI, one brother-in-law, Levi J.D. Jacob was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Miller, Joyce Larimer

Joyce Miller, 82, died on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS where she had lived during 2020. She was the daughter of Peter and Lucille Vercler Larimer. She married Tom M. Miller on November 24, 1956. Tom preceded her in death on November 25, 2014. Joyce was born on April 26, 1938 in Goshen, Indiana.
In 1962 she and Tom moved to Mississippi where they lived until they moved to Middlebury, Indiana in 1999. In 2019 she moved to Pigeon, Michigan where she lived until January 1, 2020.
She is survived by: daughters; Elaine (Duane) Maust of Meridian, MS and Marie (Clifford) Maust of Bay Port, MI and sons; Craig (Shirley) Miller of Macon, MS and Eric (Rachel) Miller of Millersville, MD; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery. A family graveside service is planned for Saturday, August 8, 2020. Officiants will be Rev. Duane Maust and staff from Sugar Grove Church.

Joyce loved her work at Essenhaus where she proudly served until she was 80. She was a Master Gardener and was happiest in the dirt among her flowers. She wanted her family and friends to know that she loved them.

Katie W. Miller, age 86, of Bremen, died at 12:30 pm, Monday, October 26, 2020 at her residence after 4 years of declining health. She was born January 22, 1934 in Reno County, Kansas to William C. and Sarah (Mast) Yoder. On September 22, 1955, she married Eli W. Miller in Garnett, Kansas. Mr. Miller, passed away unexpectedly 2 hours and 15 minutes after her death. The Miller’s moved to this area from Kansas in 1996.
Katie was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her children, Wilma (Perry C.) Miller, Homer E. (Wilma) Miller, both of Shipshewana, Wayne E. (Ruth) Miller, Middlebury, Katherine “Kay” (Sam F.) Yoder, Bremen, Sara (Levi) Mast, Nappanee, Lonnie E. (Christina) Miller, Shipshewana, Ivan E. (Donna) Miller, Nappanee, Ada (Vernon) Yoder, Bremen; 51 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren; brothers, Enos Yoder, Sarasota, FL, Ezra Yoder, Shipshewana, Rudy W. Yoder, Sturgis, MI, Clarence W. Yoder, Bennett, CO; sisters, Elizabeth Brown, Huntsville, AL, Martha Thomas, Bradenton, FL, Sarah Marie (Marvin) Miller, Bremen; and sister-in-law, Ada Mae Yoder, Shipshewana. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jeremy Dale Mast; and brothers, Chris, Levi, William Jr. Yoder.

Larry W. Miller, 79, of Topeka, passed away at 11:57 am on Friday, November 27, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on May 15, 1941 in LaGrange to Ivan and Erma (Miller) Miller. On August 31, 1963 in Emma Mennonite Church he married Fran Zimmerly; she passed away June 20, 2019.
Surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Gary) Yoder of LaGrange, Denise (Erik) McCall of Goshen; two sons, Jeff (Anne) Miller of Granger, Jerry Miller of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Carol (Allen) Zehr of Bedford, Evelyn (Ellsworth) Byler of Sturgis, MI; brother, Maurice (Norma) Miller of Topeka; sister-in-law, Marilyn Miller of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one granddaughter, Kaleigh; three brothers, Gaylord, Delmar and Ronald Miller.
Larry had worked as a public accountant for most of his life. He was a member of Emma Church, where he served as an Elder and as the church treasurer for over 30 years. He also served on many community and non-profit board of directors, including Menno Clinic, Elijah Haven and Thurston Woods. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially spending time watching many of his grandchildren's events.
Due to the national pandemic, private funeral services will be held, these services will be conducted by Pastor Gene Hartman. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Shipshewana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Menno Clinic, C/O Emma Church, 1900 S. 600 W, Topeka, IN 46571.

Lloyd A. Miller, 90, of Goshen, died Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born August 25, 1929, in Elkhart County to Abe and Inez (Eash) Miller.
He is survived by two daughters, Joanna (Bob) Becker of Houston, Texas and Julia (Robin) Lee of San Jose, California; a son, Jerald Miller; step-daughter, Linda D. (Craig) Miller of Amboy; step-sons, Wayne (Emma) Beachy of Goshen, Keith R. Beachy of Mission, Texas; Karol (Patricia) Beachy of Nappanee and Kenneth (Anna) Beachy of Wakarusa; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby (Lavern) Bontrager of Goshen; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Troyer of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives, Lois (Hochstetler) Miller and Velda F. (Slabach) Beachy Miller.
A member of Clinton Frame Church, Mr. Miller owned and operated his own construction company.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Linda Miller, Clinton Frame Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Benton Lutheran Cemetery, Goshen.

Miller, Lottie Pearl Kropf
August 16, 1923 - December 31, 2020
Lottie Pearl (Kropf) Miller, daughter of Amos J. and Carrie (Miller) Kropf, was born near Hubbard, OR, August 16, 1923. She passed away December 31, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at “The Lodge” / Rock of Ages care facility near McMinnville, OR. She lived 97 years, 4 months, and passed away peacefully.
Lottie grew up in the Hubbard, OR area and accepted the Lord in her youth. Then as a young teenager moved with her family to a farm on Lake Creek Dr., near Halsey, OR., and was baptized in the Harrisburg Mennonite Church. She was the eighth child of ten, so was privileged to have lots of family around her. She worked in the home, on the farm, and for neighbors until her marriage.
On August 22, 1943, she was united in marriage to Joe E. Miller of Elkhart, IN, at the Harrisburg Mennonite Church. They were married for almost 62 years. Early in their married life, they chose to adopt a sibling group of three, Dewey, Eunice, and Lois for their “home” family, living on their dairy and grass seed farms in the Halsey area. Lottie lived on after Joe’s passing for another 15 ½ years at the Valley View Retirement Village near McMinnville, OR.
Lottie, with her husband Joe, lived in the Halsey area, making their contribution to the community. Later in life they lived in their “barn house” in the summer, and Arizona and traveling in the winter, then moved to Wickenburg, AZ, then to McMinnville, OR.
Surviving are twin daughters, Eunice, Goshen, IN, and Lois, Tulsa, OK; daughter-in-law Sara June (Miller) Kurtz, of Brownsville, OR, thirteen grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren; one sister, Priscilla (Mrs. Elden Birky) of Halsey, OR., and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Joe, and son, Dewey; 5 sisters, Nona, Ruby, Verda and Verna, and Malinda; 3 brothers, Leo, Harry, and Victor.
She was a friend to so many, lived with a merry heart that has set a memory in many, all in a tenacious loyalty and emotional anchor to “my Joe”. She enjoyed rose gardening, making wedding cakes, quilting, and scrapbooking. Her many letters and cards expressed the care and friendship she loved to share with others.

Lovina A. Miller, 79, of Wolcottville, passed away at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, June 17, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born on April 5, 1941 in LaGrange County to Amos U. and Fannie (Bontrager) Miller. On December 6, 1962 in LaGrange County she married Raymond J. Miller, he survives.

(Larry) Miller of Millersburg, Edna (Lester) Yoder of Garnet, KS; 61 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; four brothers, Levi (Mary Ellen) Miller of Nappanee, Harley (Anna) Miller of Nappanee, Eli (Elsie) Miller of Shipshewana, Alton (Susie) Miller of Millersburg; three sisters, Elizabeth (John) Knepp of Shipshewana, Anna (Mervin) Eash of Shipshewana, Wilma (Ora) Miller of Middlebury.

Marie Arlene Miller, 79, of Middlebury, died at 11:06 pm on Thursday, March 12, at Goshen Health Hospital, after a 3 ½ week battle with lung cancer. She was born on July 18, 1940 in Kalona, IA, to Harvey Raymond and Katie Mae (Miller) Helmuth. On December 11, 1958 in Nappanee she married William "Bill" R. Miller, he died March 26, 2015.
Surviving are three sons, Willis (Cheryl) Miller of Milford, Raymond (Lydia Ann) Miller of Middlebury, Arlin (Norma) Miller of Middlebury; five daughters, Arlene (LaVern) Kuhns of Goshen, Norma (Atlee) Troyer of Middlebury, Carolyn (Vernon) Miller of LaGrange, Edna Miller of Middlebury, Nancy (Reuben) Kramer of Middlebury; 30 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Yoder of Goshen, Mabel Miller of Shipshewana; two brothers, Emil (Edna) Helmuth of Rushsylvania, OH, Olin (Alma) Helmuth of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Leo David Helmuth and a brother-in-law, Jonas Miller.
Marie was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. She has wintered for 26 winters in Pinecraft, Florida.

Marilyn L. Miller, 60, of Middlebury, died at 11:42 pm on Thursday, November 26, at Elkhart General Hospital, from complications of the Covid-19 virus. She was born on September 25, 1960 in LaGrange to Lloyd and Katie (Miller) Miller. On March 27, 1987 in Middlebury she married Moses H. Miller, he survives.

Mary Esther Miller, 74, of Topeka, died at 9:50 am on Thursday, April 16 at her residence. She was born on March 15, 1946 in LaGrange County, to Joni J. and Susie (Bontrager) Miller. On October 10, 1967 in LaGrange County, she married Wilbur Miller; he survives.

Melissa A. Miller, age 11, of Nappanee, passed away peacefully at 4:12 a.m., Saturday August 8, 2020 at her residence, after a 2 year battle with cancer. She was born June 3, 2009 in Waynesboro, Virginia, to Ezra and Erin (Nead) Miller. Melissa had attended Woodview Elementary, and was looking forward to attending her 6th grade school year at NorthWood Middle School this fall.

"Neal" and Polly (Miller) Miller. On September 23, 1965 in Shipshewana he married Mary Catherine Schrock, she survives.

Monroe W. Miller, 95, of Goshen, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 6:10 pm, on Friday, June 19 at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1925, in Centerville, MI, to William P. and Emma (Miller) Miller. On October 13, 1949 in Milford, he married Betty Slabaugh; she died September 29, 2009.
Surviving are three daughters, Martha (Raymond) Bontrager of Goshen, Barbara Miller of Goshen, Linda (Willis) Bontrager of Syracuse; son, William Miller of Holland, MI; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Bontrager of WI, Ruby (Sam) Miller of LaGrange; three brothers, Ivan Miller of Centerville, MI, Andy Miller of IL, Roy (Wilma) Miller of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Marvin Miller; two brothers, Roman and Herman Miller; sister, Katie Ann Bontrager.
Monroe was a farmer and a member of Griner Church. He enjoyed outdoor activities including cutting wood with his chainsaw. He was a man of strength, honor and integrity.
The family will hold private funeral services. Burial will be in Griner Cemetery, Middlebury. There will be a Celebration of Life service at a later date. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Naomi Bontrager Miller, eighty-nine years, passed away at 4:34 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at her home, in Middlebury.
She accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth and was a faithful member of the Woodlawn Mennonite Church at her death.
She was born on November 9, 1931 near Elkhart, Indiana to Phares and Martha (Martin) Zimmerman. She lived her whole life in northern Indiana.
She was married FJ (Fernandis) Bontrager from September 14, 1974 until he passed June 2, 1998. Then she married Thomas Miller on February 12, 2005.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Miller, Middlebury, step-children, Beulah (Nelson) Hege, Broadway, Virginia, James Miller, Goshen, Emanuel (Joann) Miller, Constantine, Michigan, Naomi (Wayne) Gingerich, Plain City, Ohio, Laban (Joyce) Miller, Goshen, Dan (Carol) Miller, Goshen, Alpha (Lauranna) Miller, Owenton, Kentucky, Sharon (Wayne) Yoder, Belvidere, Tennessee, Nathan Miller, Middlebury, Adin (Marisol) Miller, Middlebury, Paul Miller, Goshen, Grace (Werner) Bontrager Will, Charleston, South Carolina, Joyce Bontrager Lehman, Keene, New Hampshire, 39 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and a brother Elvin Zimmerman, Dalton, Ohio.

Naomi was an active member of Woodlawn Church. She prepared taxes for H & R Block. She enjoyed piecing quilts, grading prison courses for Gospel Echoes, involved in Gospel Mission to Haiti and sang in the Covenant Choir.

Nora Kay Miller, 46, of Middlebury, died at 6:00 pm on Saturday, November 7, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 12, 1974 in Goshen to Perry Jay and Esther (Miller) Miller.
She is survived by her mother; a brother, Maynard (Darlene) Miller; three sisters, Kathy (LaVern) Yoder, Karen (Herman) Miller and Doretta (Martin) Wingard all of Middlebury; 12 nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; Perry Jay Miller and a niece, Mari Esther Miller.
Nora had worked in the laundry department for the Blue Gate Garden Inn, Shipshewana. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Obie J. Miller, 91, of Goshen, died at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 15, at his residence. He was born on July 3, 1928, in Topeka to Jacob J.M. and Katie (Christner) Miller. On March 18, 1948 in Topeka he married Ruby Mae Miller; she died November 19, 2006.
Surviving are five sons, Calvin (Alma) Miller of Goshen, Lloyd (Ida Mae) Miller of Goshen, Floyd (Betty Fern) Miller of Shipshewana, Richard (Anna Marie) Miller of Goshen, LaVern (Arlene) Miller of Middlebury; 25 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, a great great-granddaughter and a sister, Edna Miller of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; grandson, Lynn Miller and 10 siblings.
Obie was a farmer and the founder and co-owner of the Miller Feeds, Goshen. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Orie J. Miller, age 81, of Goshen, passed away at 3:02 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at his residence after a short illness. He was born January 26, 1939 in Arthur, IL to Jacob E. and Polly (Helmuth) Miller. On November 2, 1958 he married Anna Martin, to whom he was married for 50 years. He had lived most of his life in Elkhart County area. Orie was a dairy farmer in the Nappanee area and earned his real estate license in his forties. He established Vision Realty of Elkhart and was self-employed as a Realtor and then as a Real Estate appraiser up to the present time. He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour in his youth. He and Anna raised their family in the Wisler Mennonite Church, and he was currently a member of the Victory Christian Fellowship.
Surviving are one son, Gary Miller, Goshen; daughters, Sandra (Mark) Eberly, Claypool, Darlene (Jake) Stewart, Searcy, AR, Dorothy (Marvin) Hurst, Savannah, NY, Carolyn (Ross) Kimble, Pearland, TX; son-in-law, Dwane Martin, Sauk Centre, MN; 25 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alma Bontrager, Goshen, Chris (Lola) Miller, Denver, CO, Emery (Mary Alice) Miller, Plain City, OH, Paul (Sherry) Miller, Orrville, OH, and Mary Miller, Hyde Park, VT. Perry E. Miller, 84, of Middlebury, passed away at 5:10 am on Tuesday, June 23, at his residence. He was born on March 24, 1936 in LaGrange to Emmanuel and Millie (Weaver) Miller. On February 22, 1962 in Middlebury he married Barbara W. Mast; she died July 10, 2018.

Perry was a lifelong farmer and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Funeral services will be at 9: 30 am on Thursday, June 25, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop LeRoy Lehman and the home ministers. Ralph E. Miller, Sr., 92, of Goshen died Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 8, 1928 in Wakarusa to Harry J. and Sovilla (Miller) Miller.
On December 10, 1949 he married Elizabeth Chupp in Milford.
She survives along with three daughters, Marilyn (Jim) Riegsecker of Millersburg, Judy (Spencer) Norris of Warsaw, and Rebecca (Greg) Holcomb of Goshen; two sons, Ralph (Fern) Miller, Jr. of LaGrange and Carl Miller of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and five step great-great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Miller, and a brother, Marvin Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of Clinton Frame Church and owner of Miller’s Homemade Noodles. He also worked in the local R.V. industry for many years. Ralph enjoyed jig saw puzzles and crafting custom doll houses.
Private services will be conducted at Clinton Frame Church, Goshen.
Burial will take place in Clinton Frame Cemetery.

Raymond A. Miller, 83, of Shipshewana, passed away at 5:25 PM on Wednesday, July 1 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital from acute respiratory failure. He was born on July 25, 1936 in Hutchinson KS to Alvin and Susan (Troyer) Miller. He was married on October 12, 1961 in Staunton VA to Barbara Anna Zook, she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his four children, Kathryn Miller of Elkhart, Melvin (Connie) Miller of Shipshewana, Rebecca (Doug) Potter of Shipshewana, Daniel (Cristine) Miller of Cottage Grove, TN and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters Clara Miller, Verna (Norman) Yoder, Laura (Norman) Beachy, and Mary (Earl) Yoder; five step brothers and sisters, Leanna (Dennis) Miller, Simon (Sue) Hershberger, Ivan (Ruby) Hershberger, Steve (Katie) Hershberger, Dennis (Sueann) Hershberger and James Hershberger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; granddaughter, Jolessa; sister, Ida Miller; brother, Eli Miller; stepbrother, David Hershberger; and step sister-in-law, Velma Hershberger.
He was a faithful member at Bethel Fellowship, Paris, TN at the time of his passing. He was a farmer from his childhood. Later he was the owner of Miller's Country Store in Paris, TN where he made many friends. In retirement he went to live with his daughter, Becki. There he found fulfillment in ministry; where he faithfully cut and glued thousands of envelopes for a medical mission in Haiti.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, July 3, at Rosewood Fellowship, Shipshewana IN. Additional funeral services will be held in Paris, TN. Burial will take place at New Boston Cemetery, Paris TN. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.

Rudy C. Miller, 85, of Middlebury, died at 8:41 pm on Tuesday, June 9 at Goshen Health Hospital. He was born on January 13, 1935 in Elkhart County, to Cornelius and Polly (Miller) Miller. On November 29, 1956 in Topeka, he married Lucille Schrock; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four daughters, Ruth (Steve) Burkholder of Nappanee, Edna (Jerry) Miller of Middlebury, Esther (Daniel) Mullet of Goshen, Marilyn Ziegler of Goshen; four sons, Marvin Miller of Bethpage, TN, Daniel (Katie) Miller of Middlebury, Mervin Miller of Shipshewana, Olen (Trish) Miller of Bethpage, TN; 27 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Nettie (Gerald) Hochstetler of Charlotte, MI; brother, Ray (Mabel) Miller of Goshen; sister-in-law, Mary Miller of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mervin Miller.
Rudy was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He also drove the horse-drawn carriage at the Essenhaus and in the Middlebury Festival Parade.

Samuel M. Miller, age 65, of North Liberty, passed away at 9:10 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his sister’s residence. He was born June 19, 1955 in Nappanee to Marvin N. and Sadie Mae (Fry) Miller. Samuel had lived in the St. Joe, Elkhart area for most of his life. He had worked for A.M. General for 30 years in South Bend. Samuel was a mushroom hunter, he loved the outdoors and nature, and was a bird watcher.
Surviving are his sisters, Etta Marie (Howard) Miller, Ligonier, Emma Sue (Orva) Whetstone, Topeka, Lorene (Noah Jr.) Anderson, Nappanee; brothers, Raymond M. (Susie) Miller, South Carolina, Howard M. (Jean) Miller, Nappanee, Leon M. (Judy) Miller, Nappanee, Fred M. (Leona) Miller, Nappanee, Willis M. (Betty) Miller, Middlebury, David M. (Kathryn) Miller, Osceola; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ester Helmuth; brother, Marvin Jr. Miller; and brother-in-law, Mose Miller.

Sarah A. Miller, 89, of Shipshewana, died at 10:05 am, on Tuesday, June 9 at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born on September 21, 1930, in Nappanee, to Andrew L. and Anna (Borkholder) Miller. On March 10, 1955 she married William L. Miller; he died August 15, 2011.
Surviving are sister, Anna Miller of Shipshewana; brother, Jacob A. Miller of Nappanee; sister-in-law, Mary (Marvin) Otto of Kokomo; her special caretakers, Samuel and Lisa Lehman of Shipshewana; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; an infant; four sisters, Katie Kemp, Emma Hochstetler, Mary Lehman, Mattie Weller; three brothers, John, Ray, and Simon Miller.
Sarah was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Miller, Sarah E. Bender
June 27, 1926 - April 29, 2020
Sarah E. Miller, age 93, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. She was the wife of the late Rev. Daniel E. Miller. She was born one of eight children in Salisbury, Somerset County, PA daughter of the late Floyd and Anna Maust Bender.
Sarah and Daniel resided on Strasburg Pike on the banks of the Mill Stream where they raised their family. They enjoyed entertaining family and friends with skating and boating, and the homestead provided a place for vegetable and flower gardening.
Sarah worked at Commonwealth Mailing for 14 years and volunteered at Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society for 20 years.
She was an active member of Rossmere Mennonite Church where she attended for over 60 years. As a selfless, Godly woman, she cared for others through prayer and humble service.
She enjoyed hosting, refinishing furniture, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 7 children; R. Elaine, wife of Ken Thomas of Goshen, IN, David E., husband of Fern Shenk of Penn Laird, VA, Daniel E., Jr., husband of Linda Ressler Miller of Lancaster, James E., husband of Marge Buckwalter Miller of Seymour, IN, Mary E., wife of Nick Hasselstrom of Clarkston, WA, Jason, husband of Lynn Matus Miller of Harveys Lake, PA, Lois E., wife of Randy Zook of Lancaster, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a brother; Paul Bender. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Thomas and 6 siblings.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. A private family burial will take place on Saturday, May 2nd in the Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.

Stanley "Stan" Miller, 79, of Middlebury passed away peacefully at home at 7:22 pm on Sunday, October 4, while surrounded by his family. He was born on December 30, 1940 in Iowa City, IA, to Harvey and Velma (Gingerich) Miller. On March 20, 1960 in Middlebury he married Carolyn Yoder, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are three daughters, Vi (Doug) Delagrange of Grabill, Monica (Kevin) Gingerich of Woodburn, Bonnie (Joshua) Roth of Monroeville; three sons, Cliff (Cheryl) Miller of Middlebury, Loren Miller of Middlebury, Jeremy (Tracy) Slabach of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Sizemore of Sarasota, FL, Maude Lerro of Franklin, NC; brother, Roland (Gloria) Miller of Sugar Grove, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Miller.
Stanley was the owner/operator of Stan's Construction and then the Eat'n Haus' in Spencerville. He later started Hallmark Excellence Realty in Middlebury in 1999; he was an ordained minister serving at Gospel Lighthouse Church, Clinton Brick Mennonite Church, Leo Mennonite Church and Butlerville Mennonite Church in southern Indiana. He was a member of Siloam Fellowship, Goshen. He loved spending time with his family, especially when they could share a camping trip together.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 7, at Siloam Fellowship, 61616 CR Rd 35 Goshen. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 2:30 pm memorial service on Thursday, October 8, also at Siloam Fellowship. A private family graveside will be held Thursday morning at Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor Vern Hostetler and Stanley's son, Cliff Miller. Memorials may be given to Gospel Echoes, where Stanley had served on their board of directors for several years.

December 8, 1989 - February 27, 2020
Stephanie Dawn Miller, 30, of Goshen passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 surrounded by her family at home.
She was born December 8, 1989 in Goshen to Stanley D. and Elvera (Yoder) Miller.
They survive along with eight siblings, Gregory Miller, Wabash, Lucinda, at home, Randy, Wakarusa, Jordyn, Brendon, Brandt, Erika and Marcus Miller all at home; a grandmother, Barbara Ellen Miller, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Darrin, Douglas and A.J. Miller, grandparents, Vernon J. Miller, Edwin and Treva Yoder.
Stephanie had attended special needs classes at Waterford Elementary, Jefferson and Northridge High School, Middlebury. She loved people, especially her caregivers, enjoyed music and thrived on family time.
The family would like to especially thank her nurse, Lyn Householder for her continued love and care for Stephanie for the past 27 years.
Penny Sage, Audrey Martin, Kaylene Yoder, you have spent a lifetime loving and caring for Stephanie, how can we ever say thank you.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Miller, Thelma "Jean" Mauer
August 12, 1923 - October 24, 2020
Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Thelma "Jean" Miller passed away on October 24, 2020. Born on August 12, 1923 in Middlebury, Indiana, Jean (as she was known to her family and friends) lived a life of kindness, selflessness, and thoughtfulness toward others. She was raised in Goshen by her parents, Grover and Clara Mauer and after graduation from Goshen High School, Jean attended Bluffton College. While back in Goshen she met Allen Miller which resulted in a loving marriage from June 1945 to Allen's passing in 2015, two weeks short of their 70th Anniversary. They became quite familiar with the moving van going from Indiana to Holgate and Bucyrus, Ohio then New Paris and Goshen, Indiana, three different residences in Wadsworth, Ohio before finally settling back in Goshen, Indiana in 1986. In Goshen they resided in College Manor and Greencroft. Along the way "Al and Jean" developed many friendships in both Ohio and Indiana through their Mennonite church activities, Allen's teaching and basketball coaching and Jean's teaching. Jean started a kindergarten at New Paris in the early 1950's and then in the mid 1960's she went back to college to finish her Bachelor's Degree at Kent State University. After graduating, she taught first grade in the Wadsworth, Ohio school system until 1985.
Jean found the good in almost every person she met, and everyone who met her felt her warm and caring nature. She gave of herself to others, particularly family, which included not only her 3 sons, their wives and their children but also Allen's large family who viewed Jean as a loving sister-in-law, aunt and/or cousin.
Jean is survived by her sons, Roger in Los Angeles, California, Thomas (wife Jill) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Kent (wife Elva) in Goshen. She also has five grandchildren - Michael, Sarah, Elizabeth, Stephen and John and three great-granddaughters Alexa, Charlotte and Kara. All of her family, including her daughters-in-law Jill and Elva Miller were present at a family gathering for her 95th birthday in Mishawaka, Indiana. Thomas and Jill were at her side at her passing. She will be missed but never forgotten.
We the family would like to express our gratitude to her life-long church community, Eighth Street Mennonite, who provided much support, companionship and spiritual nurturing, and to her extended family and friends in Goshen. Also, thanks go to the kind staff at Country Meadows in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she resided in the last year.

Miller, Waneta Mae Miller
August 30, 1920 - September 11, 2020
Waneta Mae Miller, Goshen, formerly of LaGrange, died Sept. 11 at Goshen Hospital, after a brief period of declining health. Born August 30, 1920 to Irwin and Mabel Yoder Miller, she married Payson L. Miller on January 24, 1942. Waneta was a life-long resident of LaGrange County, living within a 10- mile radius of her birthplace near Emma until her move four months ago to Cottage Garden, Goshen. For nearly five years, she lived with her son and his wife, enjoying the apartment they created for her. She celebrated her 100th birthday with her children and housemates at Cottage Garden.
Her four children include Virginia (Edward) Miller, Galen (Karen) Miller, Lynn Miller, all of LaGrange, and Sherry (Paul) Miller of Orrville, Ohio. She has eleven grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is survived by four siblings: Betty (Vernon) Roth, Cambridge, Ontario, James Lee Miller, Shipshewana, Sue Ann Byler, Goshen, Joann Buerge, Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Ernest, Kenneth, and Richard, as well as her parents. Waneta was industrious.
A homemaker and mother, she helped her husband manage the family farm, worked a full-time job, entertained family and friends, and participated in church functions. Waneta enjoyed gardening, raising and preserving food for her family. She was a skilled seamstress, sewing many of her children's clothing. Her places of work included Monteith Bros., Ivers-Lee, and Starcraft RV campers, where she used her sewing skills for over 25 years. She put off her retirement until age 71. Thereafter, she visited nursing homes weekly, often taking small loaves of banana bread for the "old people" who, in truth, were her age! She attended Shore Church all her adult life and was a faithful participant in the ladies sewing circle through 2019. She loved quilts! Each of her children received several, as did the grandchildren. Even her great- grandchildren received a quilt from grandma. Her gift of hospitality was visible often as she hosted family and friends. Sunday dinner was often shared with others, while summer brought reunions of cousins, extended family, and other gatherings. Her grandchildren, often in her home, not only enjoyed her tasty dishes but her humor, the freedom to "raid" her refrigerator, and her listening ear.
Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 19, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. For the safety of all participants, masks are required to be worn and social distancing will be observed. There will be a 1:30 pm graveside service held on Sunday, September 20, at Shore Cemetery. A memorial service will follow beginning at 2:00 pm at Shore Church. Services will be officiated by Pastor Carl Horner. Memorial contributions may be given to Habitat for Humanity or the Sewing Circle of Shore Church.

Willard D. Miller, 76, of Middlebury, died at 12:20 am on Wednesday, January 8 at Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen, after a brief illness. He was born on October 28, 1943 in Goshen, to Milo J. K. and Alma (Miller) Miller. On June 1, 1967 in Shipshewana, he married Winona Troyer; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are five sons, Doyle (Toni) Miller, Brian (Lisa) Miller both of Goshen, Carl (Sandy) Miller of New Paris, Steve (Anita) Miller, Duane (Jodi) Miller both of Goshen; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene (Alton) Bontrager of Middlebury, Marilyn (Calvin) Miller of LaGrange; two brothers, Gerald Miller of Sarasota, FL, Stanley (Karen) Miller of Goshen; two half-sisters, Anna Marie (Richard) Miller of Goshen, Edna (Monroe) Bontrager of Middlebury; half-brother, Vernon (Betty) Miller of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents; two stepmothers, Barbara Beechy and Polly Whetstone; two half-brothers, Freeman and Richard Miller; granddaughter, Paige Marissa Miller.
Willard was a member of Maple City Chapel. He was involved with the development of the Maple City Industrial Park in Goshen and retired from the maintenance department at Forest River. He loved collecting antiques, wintering in Florida, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Wilma E. Fry Miller, 96, of Shipshewana died at 1:15 pm on Wednesday, December 2, at her residence. She was born on October 14, 1924 in LaGrange County to Eli and Anna (Yoder) Bontrager. On February 14, 1946 in LaGrange County she married Joe E. Fry, he died October 8, 1969; then on November 1, 1992 in LaGrange County she married Amos J Miller, he died October 27, 2006.
Surviving are four daughters, Edna (Sam) Yoder of Hicksville, OH, Anna (Clayton) Knepp of Haven, KS, Irene (Roman) Hochstetler of Goshen, Ruby (David) Kuhns of Shipshewana; son, Alton (Leanna) Fry of Shipshewana; daughter-in-law, Amelia Fry of Shipshewana; two stepdaughters, Mary Troyer of Shipshewana, Katie (Marvin) Miller of Shipshewana; 13 grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 35 step great-grandchildren, seven great-great- grandchildren, 11 step great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Farmwald and Lizzie Hochstetler both of Shipshewana; brother, Alton (Arlene) Bontrager of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; son, Levi Fry; stepson, Daniel Miller; stepson-in- law, Andy Troyer; great grandson, Kenton Ray Yoder; great granddaughter, Thea Pearl Sommers; three brothers, Homer, Harley and Levi Bontrager; two half-sisters, Fannie Miller and Lovina Whetstone.

Wilma J. Miller, 86, of Goshen, died at 11:55 am on Tuesday, October 27, at her residence. She was born on April 11, 1934, in Shipshewana, to Jonas and Rosa (Bontrager) Beachy. On December 4, 1952 in Shipshewana, she married Harley Jay Miller; he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are seven sons, Mervin (Fannie) Miller of Shipshewana, Floyd (Elsie) Miller of Middlebury, Ervin (Darla) Miller of Middlebury, Harley (Edna) Miller, Jr. of Topeka, Glen (Doris) Miller of Shipshewana, Jerry (Rachel) Miller of Syracuse, Marvin (Malinda) Miller of Syracuse; seven daughters, Ida Anna Bontrager of Goshen, Katie Marie Miller of Goshen, Orpha (Jerry) Lambright of Shipshewana, Freda (Orva) Lehman of Goshen, Rosa (Glen) Lehman of Goshen, Emma (LeRoy) Lehman of Middlebury, Vera (Marlin) Yoder of Topeka; 85 grandchildren, 143 great-grandchildren; brother, Lee (Ada) Beachy of Shipshewana; five sisters, Katie Yoder of Shipshewana, Esther (Melvin) Schlabach of Kokomo, Ida Scott of Sarasota, FL, Mary (Orla) Schlabach of Shipshewana, Rosanna (Perry) Fry of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Delbert Wayne Miller; son-in-law, Oren Bontrager; two grandsons, Devon Lehman, Timothy Miller; granddaughter, Michelle Miller; three brothers-in-law, Chris Yoder, Chris Miller, Norman Scott; sister-in-law, Lorene Beachy.
Wilma was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28 and all day Thursday, October 29 at the family residence, 61380 CR 43, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, October 30 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Karl Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Shipshewana. Miller Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling the arrangements.
Minter, Donald (Dr.)

Dr. Donald Minter, 91 of Goshen died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at home.
He was born November 26, 1928 in Nappanee, to John and Mabel (Stover) Minter.
On June 19, 1954 he married Martha “Marty” Forsyth at Calvary Episcopal Church in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
She survives along with two daughters, Donna (Bruce Brunner) Minter of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ann (Mike) Fetters of Wichita, Kansas; two sons, William (Karla) Minter of New Paris and Douglas (Jill) Minter of Louisville, Colorado; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Connie) Minter of Aurora, Colorado.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Stutzman and Priscilla Hoffman; and two brothers, John R. “Dick” and Charles Minter.
Don graduated from Goshen College in 1950 and Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia in 1954. His medical practice took him to the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and New Mexico, Family Medical practice in Wisconsin and then to Goshen over a forty-year period.
Since retirement from active medical practice he enjoyed volunteer responsibilities with Boys and Girls Club of Goshen, Mirror Valley Retreat in Cass County, Michigan, Goshen City Tree Board and other Board appointments with Goshen General Hospital, Oaklawn Hospital, Greencroft Retirement Community, Messiah College in Pennsylvania, and Amigo Centre in Michigan. He also served on the Goshen City Council.
Don was a member of College Mennonite Church where he was on the Church Board and taught Junior High Sunday School for many years.
He enjoyed participation in family activities, wandering and working in the woodlands of southern Michigan, and considered it a great privilege to have Jesus as his Savior and guide in life.
Friends may call Friday, March 6, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A memorial service will be held at College Mennonite Church, Goshen on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the late afternoon. A specific time will be announced when confirmed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to College Mennonite Church Student Aid Fund or the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen.

Elaine N. Mishler, infant daughter of Nathan and Eva (Bontrager) Mishler, of LaGrange, was stillborn at 8:43 pm on Sunday, December 6 at Mama's House Birthing Center, Colon, MI.
Survivors in addition to her parents are two sisters, Jolene and Rosina Mishler; two brothers, Lowell and Martin Mishler all at home; grandparents, Ella Mishler of LaGrange, Freeman and Norma Bontrager of Shipshewana; great-grandfather, Vern D. Fry of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel Mishler.
The family will hold a private graveside service in Mast Cemetery, LaGrange. Services will be conducted by Bishop Lavern O. Yoder of the Old Order Amish Church. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Moyer, Ruth S. Harting
February 22, 1935 - March 6, 2020
Ruth S. Moyer, 85, of Reinholds, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Ephrata Manor.
She was born in West Cocalico Township to the late Charles G. and Laura (Showalter) Harting and was the wife of the late Harold J. Moyer who passed away in 2012.
She was a member of Blainsport Mennonite Church, Reinholds, where she was a hospitality greeter.
Ruth worked for Triple G and Weaver's Markets and also maintained Swamp Cemetery for many years. She was an avid postcard collector and a member of the Lancaster County Post Card Club. She enjoyed word puzzles and game nights with friends.
Ruth is survived by five children, Ellen, wife of Steven DePuy of Reinholds, Rachel, wife of Keith Lutz of Ephrata, Jonathan, husband of Susan Moyer of Newmanstown, Stephen, husband of Norma Moyer of Reinholds, Rebecca, wife of Carl Rutt of Denver; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles S. Harting and Rev. Eugene S. Harting.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Ephrata Manor and Hospice and Community Care for their kindness and excellent care of Ruth during her stay.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM at Blainsport Mennonite Church, 85 S. Blainsport Road, Reinholds. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 10 to 11 AM, at the church, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with Pastors Eric Marshall and Jon Wenrich officiating. Interment will take place in the Swamp Cemetery.

October 5, 1943 - February 14, 2020
Samuel L. Moyer, 76 of Goshen went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Friday, February 14, 2020 at Greencroft Healthcare.
He was born October 5, 1943 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to Abram and Martha (Overholt) Moyer.
On June 2, 1964 he married Jean F. Lehman at the Goshen College Seminary Chapel by Harold Bauman, the campus pastor.
She survives along with their children, Janet (Bob) Waldusky, John (Angie) Moyer and Mark (Rachael) Moyer, all of Goshen; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David O. Moyer.
Mr. Moyer was a member of the Family Worship Center at the Lighthouse. Sam had shared that he wanted all to know that God provided Jesus Christ to pay our sin debt on the cross. God raised Jesus to life so we could have eternal life. See St. John 14:6 for the way to peace and hope and a future home in heaven.
He received multiple bachelor’s degrees in English, Divinity and Nursing. He worked as a registered nurse at Goshen Hospital in I.C.U. for many years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
A private burial has taken place at Yellow Creek North Cemetery, Goshen.

Elizabeth Mae Mullet, age 84, of Nappanee, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at her residence. She was born September 14, 1935 in Nappanee to Harvey and Fannie (Schmucker) Yoder. On October 27, 1955 she married Delmar J. Mullet in Milford. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her husband, Delmar J. Mullet, Nappanee; son, Wayne “Charlie” (Marietta) Mullet, Nappanee; daughters, Marilyn Mullet, Linda Mullet, Lora Beth (Ernest) Chupp, Sharon Mullet, all of Nappanee, Martha (Brian) Poulson, Wakarusa; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry (Wilma) Yoder, Nappanee, Harvey (Sally) Yoder, Crystal River, FL, Steve (Diane) Yoder, Goshen, Jerry (Rose) Yoder, Paul (Patricia) Yoder, David (Debra) Yoder, all of Nappanee; sisters, Fannie (Melvin) Miller, Newaygo, MI, Martha (Vernon) Miller, Etna Green; sister-in-law, Mary Yoder, Nappanee. Mary Ellen Mullett, 81, of Topeka, died at 11:37 am, on Sunday, March 8 at her residence. She was born on March 14, 1938, in LaGrange, to Manass B. and Ida (Yoder) Bontrager. On October 22, 1957 in LaGrange County she married Melvin Lee Mullett; he died April 9, 2012.
Surviving are five sons, Larry (Rose) Mullett of Rome City, Melvin Jr. (Dorene) Mullett of Millersburg, Alvin (Esther) Mullett of Shipshewana, Dennis (Esther) Mullett of Sturgis, MI, Lonnie (Amy) Mullett of Topeka; seven daughters, Eva (Perry) Yoder of Shipshewana, Waneta Mullett of Millersburg, Kathryn (Glen) Lehman of Shipshewana, Mary (William) Miller of Topeka, Lorene (Vernon) Miller of Ligonier, Amanda Mullett of Shipshewana, Ida Mullett of Topeka; son-in-law, Ernest (Kathy) Miller of Goshen; 75 grandchildren, 138 great-grandchildren; brother, Ora (Susie) Bontrager of Topeka; three sisters, Barbara Miller of Shipshewana, Fannie (Freeman) Mast of Utica, OH, Loretta (Marvin) Kemp of Nappanee; sister-in-law, Edna Bontrager of LaGrange.

Musselman, David G., Jr.
January 12, 1956 - February 15, 2020
David G. Musselman, Jr., 64, of Tyrone, formerly of Fredericksburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Eunice M. (Witmer) Musselman for 43 years.
Born on January 12, 1956 in New Holland, David was the son of the late David G. and Esther (Stoltzfus) Musselman. He faithfully served his Lord and Savior for 50 years and was a member of the Shirksville Mennonite Church, where he served as trustee for 18 years. Most of his life he was a farmer and mechanic. He enjoyed attending auctions, and he treasured time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Rhonda wife of Mahlon Faus of Sunbury and Theresa wife of Stephen Burkholder of Tyrone; sons, Jeffrey husband of LaRonda (Lehman) of Orrstown, Joel husband of Sarah Jane (Weaver) of Annville, and David G. III husband of Joy (Ebersole) of Cumberland, MD; 23 grandchildren; brothers; Raymond and John of Myerstown and Harold of New Holland; and sisters; Dolores Musselman, Patricia Musselman and Alice Rieff, all of New Holland, and Phyllis Newswanger of Danville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Amos and sister Irene Sauder.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Rd., Myerstown. Interment will be at Shirksville Mennonite Church Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Shippensburg - Kerry Paul Musser, 50, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born on September 30, 1969, in Little Kutztown, Berks Co., a son of Paul Z. and Norma (Seibel) Musser. Kerry married Sharon N. Hursh on June 6, 1992. Kerry worked as a farmer and an electrician throughout his life. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference.)
In addition to his wife of twenty-eight years, Sharon, he is survived by six children, Carson Musser and wife Rosalie of Newville, Kendall Musser and wife JeAnna of Newburg, Christianne Weaver and husband Travis of Mt. Joy, Andrea Rissler and husband Matthew of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Kara Musser of Shippensburg, and Glorianna Musser of Shippensburg; two grandsons, Caleb and Owen Musser; four siblings, Kimberly Hurst and husband Philip of Seneca Falls, NY, Kristina Weaver and husband Frank of Narvon, Karen Zeiset and husband Anthony of Narvon, and Keith Musser and wife Rochelle of New Bloomfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

Leroy S. Musser, 81, of Newmanstown, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2020 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Terre Hill to the late Ivan and Laura (Snyder) Musser. Leroy was the husband of the late Anna (Horning) Musser who passed away November 2004. He then married Ida O. (Martin) Musser who passed away in September 2017.
After he retired from dairy farming, he operated an electric motor repair business till a week before his death. He was a member of Springville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).
Leroy was the father of six children, Marlin, husband of Maryjane (Reiff) Musser of Stevens, Nelson, husband of Dawn (Martin) Musser of Myerstown, Mark, husband of Thelma (Nolt) Musser of Louisa, VA, J. Banks, husband of Lorene (Sensenig) Musser of Denver, Anna Mary wife of Ivan Martin of Narvon, Michael, husband of Janie (Nolt) Musser of Stevens; 34 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren; 10 step-children, Stephen, husband of Marlene (Groff) Martin of Myerstown, Lowell, husband of Elaine (Martin) Martin of Denver, Darla, wife of Harold Sensenig of Manheim, Cloyd, husband of Marie (Martin) Martin of New Holland, Louise, wife of Mervin Horst of Newmanstown, Jeffrey, husband of Janice (Martin) Martin of East Earl, Merle, husband of Jane (Fox) Martin of Lititz, Jay, husband of Mary Ann (Fox) Martin of New York, Joanna, wife of Jerry Hurst of Denver, Karen, wife of Bernell Martin of Stevens; 54 step-grandchildren and 56 step-great-grandchildren.

Thelma K. Musser, 58, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Lancaster General Hospital- Penn Medicine.
She was born in Lebanon to Melvin and Jane (Kurtz) Nolt and was the wife of Mark L. Musser with whom she would have celebrated 39 years of marriage on January 23rd.
She was a member of Zion Mennonite Chapel, Denver.
In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma is survived by six children, Sheldon R. Musser, husband of Twylene of Louisa, Virginia, Sheila R., wife of Javin Martin of Downing, Missouri, Michelle F., wife of Darrell Byler of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, Kendra S., wife of Randy Shirk of Centertown, Missouri, Randall L. Musser, husband of Emily of Louisa, Virginia, and Kayla B., wife of Dale Martin of Memphis, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; five siblings, Carolyn, wife of Glenn Martin, Kenneth Nolt, husband of Arlene, Richard Nolt, husband of Joyce, Melvin Nolt Jr., husband of Carla, and Jane, wife of Michael Musser.
She was preceded in death by a son, Justin L. Musser.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the New Haven Mennonite Church, 230 Crest Road, Lititz. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, from 9 to 10 am at the church. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am, with Rev. Gerald Martin officiating.
Interment will take place in the New Haven Mennonite Cemetery.
